A New Chapter at Madington

Q&A with newly appointed CEO Henrik Carlsson

With summer coming to an end, a new chapter opens up at Madington. We sat down with recently appointed CEO Henrik Carlsson to talk about what’s next.

What made you say yes to the role?

It was a combination of things. First, the product. Madington Station is already delivering real value across a wide spectrum of clients, and it’s built on solid tech foundations. I had followed the platform and the team for a while, so when the opportunity came up, it was an easy decision. Also, beyond the tech, the company has a culture I really believe in, smart people, high ambition, and no ego. That’s the kind of environment where things move forward, and that might be the most exciting part.

What do you think sets Madington apart?

The blend of technology, innovation and creativity. A lot of platforms tend to lean too far in one direction. Madington brings these elements together in a way that actually solves problems for both advertisers and publishers. The platform is sophisticated but easy to work with, and opens up new possibilities for how brands show up creatively across channels.

What excites you most about the road ahead?

We’re at a point where Madington is ready to scale in a way that’s both focused and ambitious, and I’m excited to help push the next phase forward.

What really stands out is the potential we’re unlocking for our customers. With DCO, video, high-impact formats, streaming, our new Editor and AI capabilities all in one platform, we’re building a creative stack that’s not only powerful but also flexible. The ability to go cross-channel with ease, automate the heavy lifting, and still retain full creative control is where the value lies. It allows teams to move faster, test more, and deliver campaigns that stand out.

The creative landscape is only getting noisier. Helping clients break through with smart, scalable tools is where we can truly make a difference. It’s also what will help them unlock new budgets and new growth.

After working closely with parts of the VO2 group and gaining early insight into the Madington platform, he now steps in to lead the next phase of growth.
